Opportunities at CARB
When contacting us for information on open positions, please include your
resume and indicate the position you are seeking:
- Undergraduate students are eligible for summer support through
CARB's summer intern program. This program provides a modest wage for
summer research and is intended to support local students who desire
research experience.

Graduate studentships. We have funding for a graduate position in
bioinformatics and evolutionary analysis. Prospective graduate students must
be accepted into BEES, the
Behavior, Ecology, Evolution & Systematics program at the University of Maryland, College Park. The admissions deadline is January 1. Interested students should check out
the BEES web site, and then contact Arlin.

Research Associates (post-doctoral).
Prospective post-docs are encouraged to apply for any of a variety of
external post-doc fellowships (to keep track of
new fellowships, check GrantsNet regularly).
We are especially eager to attract individuals who can build on our ground-breaking work on the
role of mutation in evolution. One possible source of support is a prestigious
NRC Research Associateship.

Anyone with an ongoing academic position (as a graduate student,
post-doctoral fellow, research scientist, or faculty member) may come to
CARB as a visiting scientist. Contact me for details.
